Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

What is Awana?

The name Awana comes from the above verse (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed). Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. Awana begins at 6:25pm every Wednesday evening at our Family Life Center. Awana follows the school calendar so if there’s no school that day, then there’s no Awana that night. A meal is provided every week and transportation for children is available via our van-driving volunteers.

Our AWANA Club consists of the following age-group divisions:

  • Puggles for infants up to 2 year-olds

  • Cubbies for 3 year-olds through preschoolers

  • Sparks for K-2nd graders

  • Truth and Training for 3rd-5th graders

  • Trek for 6th-8th graders

  • Journey for 9th-12th graders

You can find more information about the Awana Program at the organization’s official website.
